| I have recently acquired a number of wonderful old photographs which I believe originally came from the estate of one of the daughters of James L. and Lourinda Murley of Fannin Co., Texas. I would like to share these photographs with descendants and other interested parties, so I have created this page to do so. Most of the photographs I have are not identified, so if you know the identity of any of the people in the photographs on these pages, please email me! Some of the photos may not be Murleys, but may be friends or other family members related to the Murleys. Feel free to download, print, and save any of the following photos. All that I ask is that if you know the identity of anyone pictured here that you please let me know so that I can, in turn, let others know. Thank you! | Identified on the back as J. L. Murley, Hickory Creek. This would be J. L. and Lourinda Murley with their firstborn children, Claude and William, which would mean the photo would have been taken in 1889 or 1890. |

| Identified on the back as Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Murley, Lorene Higgins, and what looks like Glen. Lorene is their daughter, and is pictured on the left. I can't find the name Glen among their family. If anyone has any insight, please let me know! |

| According to Joe Murley, son of William Thomas Murley, brother of J. L. Murley, this was the home of J. L. and Lourinda Murley until in burned in the 1960's. It was located about 4 miles south of Bailey, Texas, on Hwy. 816. |

| Finally, also found in this collection of family photographs, was a clipping of a Murley family reunion in perhaps about 1947, as the next reunion's date was established as August, 1948. There is a wealth of information in family names here, but relationships are not mentioned. Murley is the son of Jefferson Kasey Murley and Martha F. Daugherty. Jefferson K. Murley is the son of Daniel Jefferson Murley and Nancy Savage. Nancy Savage is the daughter of Hamilton Savage (the father of the Ham Savage in the photo above) and Elizabeth Martin. Hamilton Savage, Sr. is the son of Levin Savage.
